Join us for worship in Holy Week. As we make our way through the streets of Jerusalam in scripture and song, we commemorate the events of Jesus' blessed Passion and Resurrection.
Our Palm Sunday service will take place on Sunday, March 29th at 10 AM and will include the Blessing and Procession of Palms, followed by the reading of the Passion Gospel.
Then on Wednesday, April 1 at 4PM we will gather in the sanctuary for the Office of Tenebrae. This "service of shadows" features the chanting of Psalms, readings from the Lamentations of Jeremiah, and the gradual extinguishing of candles.
Our Maundy Thursday service will take place on Thursday, April 2 at 4 PM. On this night we remember Jesus’ last supper with his friends. Through foot washing, Holy Communion, and the stripping of the altar, we are invited into Christ’s commandment to love one another—and into the vulnerability of that love. This service concludes with an invitation to keep the night watch at our all night Vigil. Those who wish to sign-up for an hour long shift may contact the church office.
Finally, on Good Friday, April 3 at 1 PM we will gather in the church for the Stations of the Cross, followed by Holy Communion from the reserve sacrament. We gather at the foot of the cross to lament, to pray for the world, and to trust that even here, God is at work.
